How We Work
Unlike other communications agencies that require lengthy contracts with monthly retainers, we operate solely in sprints. Sometimes, you just need experts to tap in as extensions of your team, do great work, and then tap out until next time.
We approach all our work with the goal of building foundational elements - like compelling and thoughtful messaging - along the way, so that you can use assets we create together within your organization for the long haul.
We’re small on purpose: we uniquely offer senior-level, strategic guidance combined with hands-on, tactical work. We can see the big picture better than others, because we’re also on the front lines. When you work with Brick Lane, you work directly with us.
Our Core Services
One-Day Intensive
A deep-dive session for startup founders and other company leaders, such as heads of marketing, to work directly with us to lay the foundations for a company’s communications efforts. We tailor these sessions and deliverables based on the team’s priorities and specific needs, but these may include building out company messaging, working through PR strategy and planning, and/or communications and media training.
Announcement Sprint
(6-8 weeks)
Hands-on PR support designed for startups around a specific moment in time, such as a funding announcement or company launch. With a different focus for each week, we work to develop and hone company messaging, build out a media strategy, develop press materials, and execute moving pieces around the announcement itself, including all media outreach and interview preparation.
Transition/Crisis Communications Support
(as needed)
For startups and companies that are preparing to make transitions in their businesses, or those managing issues with risks to public, stakeholder and employee perception, we offer on-the-ground management and execution of external and internal communications, driving all messaging, timelines and coordination on moving pieces around the announcement, including interfacing with media and working with key stakeholders like legal and HR teams, boards of directors and investors. We also offer one-day sessions for teams working to prepare for potential crisis scenarios, including training on best practices as well as development of internal processes and draft messaging frameworks.
